Consulting Services

General Consulting Services

General Consulting Services are available for various types of bus operations, especially school bus, but also including Head Start, and some areas of Motor Coach, Transit, Ambulette, or other passenger transporters. Consulting is available for a specific project or concern, or for major changes to a fleet operation such as mergers, annexations, or to have a Transportation Consultant available on an as-needed basis during routine operations.

Bus Supervisor Round Tables

Intended for those directly responsible for School Bus Fleet Operations, monthly Round Table sessions are scheduled with resources available between sessions.  Monthly discussions focus on questions/topics that Participants “Bring to the Table.”  CTS provides a Participant to assist with this service, and provide support to help us stay current.  As requirements are continually changing, all area fleets are encouraged to participate– experienced individuals, as well as those to the experience.  Call us for more details.

Accident Reporting/Review & Follow-up

The bus industry has an excellent safety record. Therefore the need to comply with the post-accident requirements of various government agencies is very infrequent for many fleets. The requirements are somewhat complex and a challenge to stay current on. We can assist with:

-Filing Reports, and/or other post-accident requirements.

-Collect and document related data and details that can be beneficial to addressing concerns of your constituency, and provide a forum for all interested parties to have their concerns documented and addressed.

-Expert Witness Testimony and/or related research and support for post-accident litigation.

Compliance Reviews

Provides a review of a school bus operation, either District-owned or Contract-operated, for the purpose of assessing the current level of compliance with the requirements of any or all agencies that regulate the transportation of school children. The review can be of the total transportation program, or limited to any selected portions of it, as requested by a school district or carrier. Issues relative to good safety practices can be included as well as regulatory compliance. For school district fleets we recommend this service to assist with the “District Safety Review,” the self-assessment program recommended by SED.

Policy Review

To review your school transportation policy, and/or assist with developing new or updating existing policy, and/or standing operating procedures (SOP).
